Mississippi River Bridge! Me and Mal P

So I am so happy to be home with my family!! I have gotten a lot accomplished today!! I am
getting caught up on my Biggest Loser watching, 2 loads of laundry, dishes done, kitchen picked up, gonna cook dinner for the padres, car inspected and new driver's license plus about 4 hrs of job searching via the internet. Also the girls and I went for a great walk this morning.

Today is the start of the new Rebecca that is going to lose 50lbs!! It is going to be hard but I am ready. I am gong to start by giving up Diet Cokes!!! OMG I love me a good ole Diet Coke, or Diet Dr. Pepper or Diet Mountain Dew. But I am going to give them up. I did it for 2 days last week, and well I had one with lunch but am now drinking splenda tea. My sister Sybil and I are going to run/walk/jog and keep each other motivated. I am excited about this journey!!

I had a lot of fun this weekend in San Antonio seeing Kristy and the kids. We went to the San Antonio Zoo which was so much fun!!

Back in Texas with the keys in my trunk!

So today was my last day of work for your American Cancer Society! I cannot believe it!! I am excited about being back with all the possibilities that could be on my horizon! I had so much fun at lunch today with Amanda, Lori, JeanAnn and sweet sweet Mal P. The drive back was not a bad one at all because I had a great audio book to listen to, it is Baby Proof; it is the same author of the Something Borrowed and Something Blue Books!!

So it was awesome to pull up into the driveway and breathe a sigh of relief that I am home!!!!!! Then came the OMG craziness part of all; my mom was helping me get a few things out of my car and I completely LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE TRUNK!!!!!! I cannot believe that at all! So after being really upset and saying a few choice words in front of my mother (for the first time) I called the LOCK DOC!! Just to let you know they are the best! They were only $25, extremely professional and nice.

So I am catching up on some 90210 even though I need to go to sleep because we are leaving the house at 6am to head out to San Antonio for Kristy's birthday celebration. I am so excited because we are going to the Zoo!!!!!! I am pumped!!!!!

Well I will check all of yall later!!

Fun Times in The DELTA!!

So I have been in the Delta today with Beth Abney! She is my counterpart in Greenville!! We always have a lot of fun but get a lot done!! We had to go to the Delta Grind a great coffee shop to check some emails and get some coffee which was oh so yummy. So funny thing we went to go through the car wash before the Relay for Life Committee meeting and we are in the car wash and it kept telling us to move forward and it finally tell us to stop and we do. Then the wash starts and it is totally missing us because it told us to stop too late, so then Beth tries to reverse to get where her car can get washed and OMG she runs into the car wash!!!!!! IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!
Moving and packing is going good!! It is getting bittersweet! I will miss my Mississippi peeps! Beth is staying the night in Jackson tonight before Lobby day tomorrow!! I am trying to get better at this blogging thing!!
Love yall and Blog Later!!

Fun in Ruston with the DePaola's

So I am here in Ruston and am having such a great time!! Something that is way exciting is that there maybe SNOW tomorrow! It has been so great hanging out with great friends. Mia is so cute and is doing a good job potty training!! She is getting so big!!! I remember holding her little 5lb self and snuggling with her. Of course we had to have pizza, Pasquale's homemade pizza!!

Of course it was a family project making Pizza!! Well Maria was eating more of the cheese and tomatoes than went on the pizza. And oh my goodness the pizza was so incredibly good. I am so glad that we have been able to stay such great friends even though we live in different states. I cannot wait to go to Italy this summer with this AMAZING Family!!

Mia has become a HUGE fan of Annie! We have watched about 4 times already but of course non of them all the way to the end. It is TOO cute because she dances and sings along with the movie. It is beyond adorable!!

This is cute little Mia doing her thang! Of course she has to go and get her "stage" which is her little step stool to stand on!! It is just adorable!! I am having so much fun!

Hopefully tomorrow we will have some SNOW pictures!!

love and Blog later!

Mal P, Mal Mal! Oh I will miss you!

Ok so I have decided to kinda dedicate this blog to my friend Mallory Pickering. She is one awesome!!!!! sweet friend. She inspired me to blog a picture a day! Even though she thinks that I HAVE to start on Jan 1st that I now need to wait till next January I am going to start on Jan 6th! So I met Mal when she started at the ACS as a part-time Strides Recruiter. She was so quiet but then you get to know her and she will make you laugh till no end. She is HILARIOUS and I love her. She is such an amazing young woman and I cannot wait to hear all about what God will do in her future. I will miss her more than she will know!!This is one of my pictures of the day! It is me and Mal Mal. I am sure in pure Mal fashion that she will let me know when she reads this that you can only have 1 picture of the day! But you know there are some days that you just may need more!! I love you Mal and will miss you pure amazingness, your great smile, laugh and just your awesomeness!!

I want to say how incredibly excited I am to move home to be back with my family! I am so excited to be there for all holidays, birthdays, baseball games and just for everything. I cannot wait and am just mega pumped!! Work is absolutely NUTS right now trying to get everything wrapped up. Something that made me laugh today is when Sybil texted me asking me if I had started packing......kidding I am a huge procrastinator!!

Tomorrow the AGGIES ARE PICKING COTTON!!! WOOT WOOT!! Look for posts and pics this weekend from the LSU loving DePaola's house in Ruston!!

2011 the year to BLOG!!!

OK! so it is now 2011!!! I cannot believe it! It just seems like yesterday we were ringing in 2000 thinking that all the ATM's were going to explode money and Y2K. I think that 2011 is going to be a great year. First thing in January I am moving back to TEXAS!! I am very excited to get back to my roots and my family. I absolutely love my job with ACS but not the area that I work and I truly missed my family. I never thought it would have been so hard to be that far away. For a girl who only live 45 mins away during college and was home almost every weekend moving 7+ hours away was a stretch.

It was a good 2 year stint and it gave me some experience that will open doors for me. So I am currently looking for jobs in the Bryan/College Station area; so if anyone knows of anything let me know.

New Year's Eve!! was awesome I got to go to a high school friend's wedding. It was not your typical wedding because she is Hindu. It was extremely interesting and a great experience. It was totally different that your typical Baptist Ceremony. The whole thing was about 3 hrs. It started with the groom processional that was the groom in a horse drown carriage with a portable DJ in the back of the truck that was blaring what sounded like club indian music and everyone was dancing like it was 1999!!! As we finally made it to the ballroom where the ceremony was it was little ceremonies all rolled into one. It was definitely interesting. After the wedding I have to leave to get home for my big New Year's afternoon of hanging with Morgan and little Declan and then my big night with Andrew. Andrew is my 9 yr old nephew who is just awesome!! We went to dinner to Buffalo Wild Wings(his choice)and then we went and saw Gulliver's Travels in 3D. It was so much fun and reminded me how excited I am to be back around family.

During this Holiday Season Texas visit I also got to go to Fort Worth and visit with Jeff, Lori, Lilly and Eliana. They are just a sweet family!! I always forget what amazing people Jeff and Lori are till I hang out with them again. I cannot wait to visit more and see those girls grow up.
So I guess my summary is I am very much looking forward to God's plans for me in 2011!! I am hoping that he leads me to a fantabulous job where he can really use me. I am hoping to blog more regularly! For the first day of 2011 I am going to have a great lunch with my family and then go visit the Steele's and then held to the Swigert Ranch in Caldwell to visit other family. Then I will be Jackson Bound tomorrow.
